But whilst pruning your bottlebrush plants you need to remember to do it either at the very beginning or at the end of the flowering season. Because, if you do it during the flowering season you could miss out on the entire blossom of your bottlebrush plants.
I've written a complete article about growing bottlebrush plants, pruning bottlebrush plants as well as caring for your bottlebrush plants.
Depending on your skills in pruning you could opt to prune before or after the flowering cycle. Just in case you don't have the time to go through the 800 word article, I've jotted down a few points to help you through:
- Pruning of your bottlebrush plants needs to be done when the shoots are just growing so that they can then branch out and spread more evenly. This needs to be done before the flowering cycle
- If you're not experienced at pruning bottlebrush plants and don't want to risk loosing a flowering cycle then it's advisable that you wait for the flowers to dry up and then prune the plant by cutting off the stem just behind the part where the flowers were.
